TLDR;
I've eaten here too many times I can't even count on my hands and feet so this review is long overdue. In my opinion, this places has the best tasting Korean BBQ in the Reno/Sparks area (yes better than Ijji Kbbq). The service is always great and the food is always top quality. If you want the meat sweats or have been wanting to know the hype about Korean bbq you need to come here first.
Service
The service is one of the best I've received in any restaurant experience. Bianca usually serves us when we go and she is fun, friendly, and very attentive every time. The owner is very nice as well as he comes by every once in a while to bring the food, chat a bit, and even throw some food on the grill for us.
Environment
Very clean, modern, and spacious on the inside. More of a modern PF Changs feeling interior and color pallet though everything is very well spaced and clean.
Food
As I stated above they have the best Korean bbq in town compared to other places. They win in the quality, portion size, and flavor categories in my book. The prices are also very fair as well and the dinner menu isn't drastically different so you don't feel like you are missing too much compared to other places.
Beef Noodle Soup
This was probably the highlight of all the food. The broth was surprisingly much better than I was expecting as I've been to a ton of places that specialize in this dish. The beef was tender though I think if they put the effort into making fresh noodles that this dish would be worth it on its own to come back for. If you do happen to eat here, do yourself a favor and get this dish.
Fried Dumpling
Crispy pork dumplings, perfect size and crisp. Perfect to start any kbbq session but don't get too full on these.
Popcorn Chicken
Surprisingly enough I think they have one of the best popcorn chicken dishes I've ever had. The batter texture and crispiness is to die for and the batter to chicken ratio is perfect. This is a dangerous one for me because once I eat one I have to stop myself from ordering more and more and save some room for the other meats!
Chardol
This is definitely my go to order. They are thin slices of Angus beef brisket. This also goes very well with the house-made soy sauce and seasoning mix they provide to you on your setup. I usually marinate some slices in this before throwing it on the grill and its the right about of satisfying without being too heavy.
Spicy Pork Belly
This is really close to being my favorite right behind the Chardol. The flavor is really bomb and it isn't too overwhelmingly spicy. The only reason why I put it behind the chardol is sometimes its hard to eat a bunch of this since its such a fat heavy meat. I do recommend cooking it long and rendering most of the fat down until it has a more crispy texture.
Siu Beef Brisket Bulgogi
One of the stables of Korean bbq this is a must get. The savory but sweet flavor is one of my favorite flavors for bbq. This is very similar to the tri-tip bulgogi (tri-tip is fattier) share the same flavor though I usually opt for this more lean version since the spicy pork belly is usually pretty heavy already.
Everything else on the menu
I've literally never ordered anything I didn't like for the menu and I could go on and on but I'll leave the rest for you to come and try and decide. I just thought I'd share a couple of my favorites to order :). -

Decent Korean barbecue. Pork, beef, and seafood were all good. However, I feel that there is less variety on their menu (at least the lunch one) than at most Korean barbecue places. There also weren't many people in the restaurant when I was there but I still had to wait a while to replace burnt grills. None of the sauces that the meats were coated in were really that flavorful, either.
It's worth noting that there are calamari steaks here, if that helps make the decision for you. -

Jonesing for some Korean ayce bbq, I talked my folks into going instead of a crummy Reno casino buffet. This is sans Atlantis buffet which is a good buffet at 4 stars.
It is located in a strip mall that looks dated like many Reno/Sparks strip malls. I saw it was next to a boba shop. Hehe.
We were greeted right away. The place was very big but the seating seemed partitioned and walls etc making it seem intimate yet tight and small. Grills were in the middle of each table. Ayce is $17.99 for lunch and $26.99 for dinner. We came for lunch which misses a couple galbis, one bone-in and one boneless, plus NY steak and beef tongue. So 4 meats is the difference between mealtimes. Lunch is from 11-4 and dinner from 4-close.
We could get soup choice and 3 apps and 5 meats ordered at a time. Sides do not count so I got the king oyster mushroom and a couple others. They bring out 4 banchan. Fewest I have ever seen in similar K-bbq ayce. Usually, 10 or so at Gen Korean and OZ.
Over the course of 2 hrs we got the spicy tofu soup, potstickers, gyoza and fried oysters, lemongrass chix and one more chix, a couple pork bellies and Hawaiian steak, most of the beef including bulgogis and calamari, spicy shrimp and baby octopus.
We left most of the chicken alone, same with a few pork that were not bellies and did not go for the small beef intestines.
Service was pretty good. It in no way competes with Gen Korean in Las Vegas. The waitstaff there teams up. I never had better service in ANY restaurant than at that Gen K (check out my review of them).
However, the person grabbing empty places was on point. She would be there asap to grab empties and fill waters. The waitress would be back often enough but not that much once 4-5 tables were seated. But I did not starve waiting like some reviews saying the wait for the next round was long. She came around the right time when I was nearly done with a round so that new order would come when we finished the previous round. That is what counts! She also changed the grill 2x. Just oftem enough when they had char marks stuck on most areas. Green tea ice cream included topped off our experience.
To conclude, a good joint for such fare in Sparks. I read reviews prior to coming and they have 1 other competitor in R/S. The other is Ijii4 which has a $19.99 lunch $29.99 dinner tag but a bunch more items and a 10% off Yelp for 1. Ijii is a 4.5 on Yelp and Siu comes in with a 4. I want to try Ijii next time Iam near Reno before deciding who wins the battle of the two warriors of KBBQ ayce game in this part of town.
This place has a strong GOOD service rating by me and an enjoyable time with the meats. One + is that this place had overhead ventilation meaning our clothes did not smell like smoke afterwards like other ones I mentioned previously. Negative would be the menu for lunch is much smaller than Gen or OZ. Maybe 18 total items with chix, pork, beef and seafood not counting apps or soup. Gen and OZ maybe 30+. Absolute biggest negative was that they only include 4 banchan vs. 10+ elsewhere. Overlooking those 2 negatives would land them at a solid "4" rating in my book. -

Perhaps one of the best experiences i have had at any kbbq hands down. The whole team was killing it today, refilling our drinks nonstop without us having to ask. Also making sure we have what we need and when we do need something they bring it super quick. It was also a birthday lunch we had there and they sung for us and were overall a super friendly environment. The food was very tasty and delicious but one thing that was a bit annoying was that unlike other korean bbq restraunts ive been to they oil up the grill and the whole time the oil was popping and getting on arms. Other than that the place is a great place for any occasion and they also have a bar for those that like to drink.

Siu is one of the better kbbq restaurants that I've been to for sure. I always have a wonderful experience every time I'm there.
Our servers were very attentive and friendly. They made sure to constantly check up on us and our water cups were always filled.
The music playlist is always great too.
My favorite items to get are the tri tip, calamari, chicken sate, and Hawaiian steak. Starters are also offered and my favorite would definitely be the sweet potato fries. They also give complimentary ice cream.
Overall Siu makes for a very fun and tasty kbbq experience.
